Cheap Pampers & Huggies!

2 Diaper Deals @ CVS this week:
Huggies: Spend $25+, get $5 back
Pampers: Spend $8.99, get $3 back

I paid $0.06 for each Pampers diaper, $0.05 for each Huggies diaper, and $0.015 for each Huggies wipe!

Is that bottom baby's hair corn-rowed? I love it!

How I worked it:

Transaction #1:
Huggies size 3, 96 ct. Regular 22.99, sale $20
- $4 off $20 CVS coupon
- $4 Huggies CVS coupon
- $3 Huggies mfr coupon
Total: $9
Paid with $8.99 EB and $0.01 oop

Transaction #2:
Goal: Get to $20 so that I could use $4 off $20

Pampers, size 3, 36 ct. Regular $11.79, sale $8.99
Huggies Wipes 216 ct. Regular $7.99, sale $6.00
Note: That brought me to $15. I needed another ~$5...
2 x Herbal Essence. Regular $4.29 each. Sale 2/$4.97
- $4 off $20 CVS coupon
- $2 Pampers diapes coupon
- $0.50 Huggies wipes coupon
- $1 Herbal Essence coupon
- $1 Herbal Essence coupon
Total: $11.46 + $0.20 tax = $11.66
Paid with: $8.99 EB and $2.67 oop
Got back: $5 EB (Huggies), $3 EB (Pampers), $1 EB (Herbal Essence)

Note: To reduce my oop, I should've done Transaction #2 first since that gave me back some EB, then done Transaction #1. No big deal.

Cost breakdown:
Pampers:
Since I used a $4/$20 coupon on this $20 transaction, I can discount each item's sale price by 20%.
That means the $8.99 Pampers were $7.19. Subtract the $2 mfr coupon and the $3 I got back in EB, it's like I got 36 size 3 diapers for $2.19, or $0.06 each!

Huggies:
For the $20 diapers, I saved $11 in coupons bringing those 96 diapers down to $9.
For the $6 wipes, I saved 20% and another $0.50, bringing those down to $4.30.
But then, when you figure the $5 EB I got back, it's like I saved another $3.85 on the diapers and $1.15 on the wipes (splitting the $5 proportionally).
So that means I paid $5.15 (9-3.85) for 96 diapers or $0.053 per diaper and $3.15 (4.30-1.15) for the 216 wipes, or $0.0145 per wipe.

Now I just hope this baby can take any brand of diapers!
