CVS, October 30, 2011

It's been a LONG time since I've gone shopping, since I've been on bedrest for over a month (and technically still am!). I had to go to CVS today, though, due to the big Covergirl money maker.

Overlapping sales: Covergirl makeup is on sale buy 1, get 1 50% off. Plus, Covergirl is part of the "Spend $30, get a $10 gift card" sale.

What made this so great was the $8/2 Covergirl coupons that expire tomorrow (10/31).  I had 3 of them, so here is what I got. I needed 9v batteries, which also counted toward the $30.

2 x Covergirl powder @ 5.89 each
2 x Covergirl powder @ 2.94 each (50% off)
1 x Covergirl blush @ 4.89
1 x Covergirl blush @ 2.44 (50% off)
1 x Duracel 9v 2pk @ 5.99
1 x pack of Cookies
Subtotal = $31.98

I used these coupons:
$4/$20 loaded to my card at CVS.com
$8 off 2 Covergirl products
$8 off 2 Covergirl products
$8 off 2 Covergirl products
$0.75 off Duracel copper top batteries

I paid $3.23+tax = $3.46

I got back $10 CVS gift card!

Plus, the $24.99 spent on Covergirl will count toward the CVS Beauty Club, so I'll get $2.50 of that back!

All in all, the trip gave me a $9.04 profit! ($10+$2.50-$3.46)
