Kroger MegaSale - Feb 3 2011

I'm glad Kroger extended the Mega Sale for another week, as I finally took the time to figure out what to get.   I bought 27 items, a few of which were Money Makers that covered the cost of other items.

David Sunflower Seeds, 1.09
No Yolk Noodles, 1.25 - .50 doubled to $1
Garden of Eaten, 2.29 - 1
Kleenex, 1.49 - 2
3 x Kraft Cheese, 1.49 - .75 each
3 x Del Monte veg .82 each
2 x Honest Tea 1.25 - .50 doubled to $1 each
2 x Scotch Bright 2.99 each - $1/2
3 x Sunny Delight 1 - .25 tripled to .75 each
Sobe Green Tea 1 - 1
Frank's Wing Sauce 1.49 - .50 doubled to $1
Dove Deodorant 2 - 2 - 2(eCoupon)
Motts Apple Juice 1.99 - 1.99(eCoupon)
6 x Hunts Tomatoes .92 each - .45/3 doubled to .90 (had 2 of that coupon)

I bought 20 items that were part of the Mega Sale, so the register took $10 off my order.
Tax came to -$0.29.

Shelf price: $49.22
After sale/coupons, I paid:  $5.45, a savings of 89%.

Money makers in green.

Updated: A "We Value Your Opinion" catalina coupon printed on this trip. If I qualify for and take a survey, I get a $5 Kroger gift card. Well, I qualified and took the survey! So I will get $5.  That makes this trip have a net cost of $0.45!

  1. Looks pretty practical. How much time did it take to plan the trip?

  2. This was pretty simple. I went to southernsavers.com, which listed the items included in the mega sale as well as coupon match-ups. Some coupons were printable (the chips & Scotch Bright pads) & the site had links to print them.

It took me longer in the store because they were out of some items I planned to get, so I had to figure out cheap other items to get to reach multiples of 10. That's why I have 3 packs of sliced cheese when I only wanted 1.
