CVS & Walgrens, Jan 16, 2011

I had more of a net cost today than usual, but I got items that we can bring on our upcoming cruise to save from purchasing them on the ship (soda, bottled water) as well as the type of snack my husband likes: chips.

Walreens:
1xJoint Juice: $10 - $1 IP = $9
3xKraft Homestyle Deluxe: 3/$5 - 3*$1 (1/16 SS) - $1.50 (Walgreens January coupon book) = $0.50
1xCheese Stick: $0.59
----------------------------------
Total: $10.09
Paid with $10 RR and $0.09 oop
Got back $10 RR (Joint Juice)
Net cost: $0.09

CVS:
2x12pk Pepsi product = 2*3.34 = $6.68
1xAquafina 12 pk = $3
1xLipton tea = $3
2x2 liter Pepsi product = 2*$1
Doritos = $2.50
Lays = $2.50
Blink Tears = $7.99 - $4 (coupon on product) = $3.99
2xCrest toothpaste = 2*$2.99 - 2*$0.75 (12/26 PG) = $4.48
----------------------------------------
Total = $28.15 + .01 tax = $28.16
Paid with $27 EB and $1.16 oop (actually, on a gift card)
Got back $10 EB (Pepsi), $4 EB (Blink), $4 EB (Crest), $1 EB (green bag tag) = $19
Net cost: $9.16

Total for the day: $77.77 of products for a net cost of $9.25, a savings of 88%.

I'm probably happiest about the Crest, as Crest with  Scope Outlast is my new favorite toothpaste, and we were on our last tube. It hadn't gone on sale since I first bought it, so I was happy to nap two tubes.
